Geoscience & nature management · Northern Norway
Local roots.Global understanding.
We investigate the ground, assess natural hazards and care for nature in a changing climate – from the shoreline to the mountains of Northern Norway.

What we deliver
Three disciplines. One goal: safe development and thriving nature.
We work closely with contractors, engineers and site managers – from feasibility study to detailed design.
Geoscience
Ground investigations, geotechnics, engineering geology and environmental geology. We assess the risk of quick clay slides, rockfall, snow, slush, debris and flood slides.
- Geotechnical ground investigations and lab analysis
- Landslide hazard assessment in steep terrain
- Flooding, erosion and sediment transport
- Contaminated ground and seismic interpretation
Volume calculation
Precise quantities of soil, rock and fill – for planning and follow-up in construction projects.
- Volume calculation with Gemini Terrain+
- Terrain models and point clouds from drone imagery (Pix4D)
- Reports or 3D models of terrain changes
Nature management
Mapping, management and restoration of nature – and stewardship of salmon rivers and coastlines.
- Habitat mapping (NiN) and biodiversity assessment
- Management and restoration plans
- Salmon river management and supervision
- Beach clean-ups
Environment in everything we do
Climate change hits the Arctic first. So we work ahead of it.
The Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the world. More rain, thawing ground and extreme weather create new landslide and flood hazards – while nature is under pressure. We use geoscience to protect communities and infrastructure, and nature management to give back what nature has lost.
Safety in a changing climate
Landslide, flood and storm surge assessments that make it safe to build where people live.
Nature restoration
We restore hay meadows and wildflower habitats and fight invasive species.
Clean shores and rivers
Beach clean-ups in remote areas and stewardship of wild salmon populations.
Zero emissions in the field
We run projects under zero-emission requirements – even in central Oslo.

Selected projects
Work that makes a difference
A selection of assignments from Kirkenes to Oslo – in geoscience and nature management.
Nature2024–2026Restoring wildflower meadows in Oslo
Managing and restoring biologically valuable hay meadows in the heart of the capital – run under a zero-emission requirement.

Nature2019 →Beach clean-ups in inaccessible areas
We clear marine litter where no one else can reach – through the Rydd Norge and Rydd i tide programmes in Troms and Finnmark.
Handelens Miljøfond, Miljødirektoratet & MARFO
Geoscience2024Landslide hazard, Dreyerjorda zoning plan
Assessment of safety against landslides in steep terrain up to the highest safety class, S3.

Nature2018 →Managing the Reisa river
Day-to-day management, fisheries supervision and pink salmon control in one of Northern Norway’s key salmon rivers.
Reisa Elvelag
Geoscience2021–2023Galsomelen waste facility in a quick clay zone
